Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What this does This Airworthiness Directive (a legally binding safety rule) orders an urgent structural modification to the fuselage cross beam and attachment brackets located at the firewall on all DHA-3 Drover aircraft.

Who it affects Owners and operators of DHA-3 Drover aeroplanes (a type of utility aircraft originally manufactured by de Havilland Australia).

What must be done The aircraft must be modified by following the instructions in one of these two technical documents:

de Havilland Technical Notes CT(A3) No. 106; or
de Havilland Modification DRO 97

When Immediately. The term "Forthwith" means you must comply without delay as soon as the directive applies.

Why it matters This directive addresses specific structural safety concerns with the firewall attachment brackets. Without this modification, the structural integrity of the aircraft could be compromised, affecting flight safety.
