Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What this is: An Airworthiness Directive (a mandatory safety order with legal force) issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) under the Civil Aviation Regulations.

What it requires: Owners and operators of DHA-3 Drover aircraft (a vintage Australian-built aeroplane) must carry out a structural modification to the fuselage where the rear wings attach (called the "wing rear pickups").

How to comply: You must follow the instructions in either:

DH TNS CT(A3) No. 105, or
DH Modification DRO 96

When: Immediately (the directive uses the term "forthwith," which means without delay).

Who it affects: Anyone operating or maintaining any model of the DHA-3 Drover series.

Why it matters: This addresses a potential structural weakness or fatigue risk at a critical stress point where the wing connects to the aircraft body. Failure to comply could compromise flight safety.
