AD/DHA-3/14 - Fairey-Reed Propellers - Spinner Removal - CANCELLED

What this does: This document officially cancels an old aviation safety rule from 1955 that required owners of DHA-3 Drover aircraft to remove the front spinner coverings (nose and body assemblies) from specific Fairey-Reed propellers, leaving only the back plate installed.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of DHA-3 (Drover) series aeroplanes — though in practice, nobody needs to do anything because the rule is now dead and all affected aircraft were already modified decades ago.

Why it matters: The original rule was an urgent safety fix (called an Airworthiness Directive) issued in 1955. By November 2008, aviation safety officials determined that every aircraft requiring the modification had already been fixed, making the rule obsolete. This cancellation cleans up the rulebook by formally removing a requirement that no longer needs to be followed.
