legislative instrument

Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This instrument requires owners/operators of all DH 89 (Dragon Rapide) aeroplanes to forthwith modify fuel-system controls: fit a positive clamp for the fuel-control cable housing and provide a means to lock the pilot’s fuel-control lever in ON while still allowing rapid movement to OFF. It allows alternative compliance for the lever via two referenced documents.

It matters because operators bear immediate costs, must choose/design acceptable technical solutions subject to approval, and face scheduling and regulatory‑compliance risk.
