AD/DH 82/4 - Q Type Harness - Modification - CANCELLED

This document officially cancels an old aircraft safety rule.

What it was: An Airworthiness Directive (a mandatory safety instruction issued by the aviation regulator) originally required owners of DH 82 Tiger Moth aeroplanes to modify the "Q type" safety harness (seatbelt) locking mechanisms. The fix prevented pilots from accidentally bumping the release lever and unbuckling themselves during flight.

Why it's cancelled: The Civil Aviation Safety Authority cancelled this directive in October 2008 because all affected aircraft would have completed the modification decades earlier. The rule is no longer needed since every plane has already been fixed.
