AD/DH 104/30 - Front Seat Restraint Installation - Modification - CANCELLED

This document cancels an older safety rule that required shoulder harnesses (called "upper torso restraints") to be installed in the front seats of De Havilland DH 104 Dove aircraft certified before 1967.

What it means:

• The original 1972 directive forced owners of these specific vintage planes to install modern seatbelts with shoulder straps.
• As of 17 January 2008, this specific rule no longer applies.
• Aircraft owners must now follow a general airworthiness directive (AD/GENERAL/74 Amendment 1) instead of this model-specific one.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of DH 104 Dove series aircraft, though most will now comply with the broader replacement directive rather than this cancelled rule.
