This AD (AD/DC4/33) mandates inspection of the nose‑wheel brace strut collar on Douglas DC‑4 series aeroplanes, to be carried out in accordance with one of three referenced compliance documents. It applies to DC‑4 owners/operators and maintenance organisations — important because it is a regulatory safety requirement that creates inspection, repair and documentation costs and possible downtime.
