Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires owners/operators and maintenance organisations of Douglas DC‑4 series aeroplanes to modify the tailplane outer hinge bracket, carried out in accordance with one of three referenced documents (Douglas SB DC4 No.73 (1947), FAA AD 47‑33‑1, or ANO 105.1.16.2.5.15 Issue 2).

CASA enforces the AD; operators bear parts, labour and downtime costs. The AD itself gives no technical detail beyond naming those references, so compliance depends on the chosen document.
