Plain English Summary

5/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires reinforcement of the wing tip root on Douglas DC‑3 series aeroplanes to address an airworthiness concern. It compels owners/operators and their maintenance organisations to carry out the mandated structural work in line with the referenced technical instructions.

CASA enforces the AD under Part 39; operators bear parts, labour and downtime costs and must schedule and document compliance to keep the aircraft airworthy.
