Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule.

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has cancelled Airworthiness Directive (AD) number 77, which previously required specific safety actions for the Main GearBox Planet Gear Carrier on Eurocopter SA 360 and SA 365 (Dauphin) series helicopters.

What this means:

For aircraft owners and operators: You no longer need to follow the requirements of AD/DAUPHIN/77.
Why: It has been replaced by a newer safety directive (AD/DAUPHIN/94), which contains updated requirements.
Effective date: The cancellation took effect on 21 November 2007.

This is a housekeeping measure to prevent confusion between the old and new rules and ensure operators follow only the current safety standards.
