Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Eurocopter SA 360 and SA 365 (C, C1, C2, C3) helicopters fitted with Cargo Aids cargo release unit P/N 2MK2 to measure the cargo equipment rings per Eurocopter Alert Service Bulletin paragraph 2.B before any flight that will use the release unit. The AD says certain ring sizes can jam the release hook in the open position and so could cause loss of an underslung load.
