Background: The current issue of this Airworthiness Directive refers to the ASB 28.00.31 and clarifies the effectivity list that now covers post-modification 0753B31 helicopters only.

Note 2: Modification 0753B31 "Reinforced Latch Support at the 9°Frame" is also the subject of Service Bulletin (SB) No. 53.20 that was cancelled by complying with Eurocopter ASB No. 53.00.42 "Check of the Holes of the Reinforced Latch Support on the 9° Frame” and SB No. 53.00.44

The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive required inspection as per provisions of Eurocopter Alert Telex No. 28.00.31, addressing the safety risk associated with the fuel leak. The reported leak was due to the interference between air vent hose and the attachment screws of the latch support of right hand front door.
