Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive mandates inspections of tail-rotor rotating fairings and hub bodies on Eurocopter SA 360/361/365 helicopters fitted with the listed part numbers. Inspections must follow Aerospatiale Service Bulletin No. 05.05.R1, be recorded on the maintenance release, and a copy of the requirement document must be kept on board. Amendment 2 changes the inspection certification rules by allowing the pilot-in-command to perform the inspection described in Para 1C(1) without formal certification, shifting some compliance activity onto operators/pilots.
