Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This document is the issuing statement (preamble) for a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Airworthiness Directive (AD). It revokes an earlier directive (AD/DAUPHIN/46) and replaces it with Amendment 1. The directive applies to Eurocopter SA 360 and SA 365 (Dauphin) Series Helicopters and concerns the Main Rotor Gearbox Suspension Diagonal Cross-Member. However, the provided text only contains the delegation clause and references to sections (requirement, compliance, background) that specify what action must be taken, when it must be done, and why — these substantive sections are missing from the excerpt. Airworthiness Directives are legally binding safety instructions issued under the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 to correct unsafe conditions in aircraft.
