Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires operators of specified Eurocopter SA 365 (Dauphin) variants that have not had a particular main-rotor mast modification fitted to carry out inspections and any corrective work on the main rotor shaft according to the referenced French DGAC airworthiness directives or Aerospatiale service bulletins. It sets the compliance deadline at 30 May 1992 because corrosion was found at the lift-bearing seal holder. Operators and maintenance organisations must follow the referenced technical documents and meet the compliance date; they bear inspection and repair costs.
