Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This mandatory Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Eurocopter SA 360 and SA 365 (365N and F with specified main rotor mast part numbers) to inspect the main rotor mast for corrosion pits per the manufacturer’s service bulletin. Corrosion pits can grow into fatigue cracks that may lead to mast failure and rotor detachment; the inspections aim to detect and address damage before it causes catastrophic loss of control.
