Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of specified Diamond DA40 aircraft to inspect the engine mixture-control cable crimping and replace any cable that matches the defective condition, following Diamond MSB 40-012. It must be done before the aircraft next flies. The measure is intended to prevent loss of mixture control caused by cable failure and therefore affects aircraft operators, maintenance providers and parts suppliers through inspection, replacement and temporary grounding until rectified.
