Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: Cancels an older safety rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/CL-600/86) that required specific actions regarding the nose landing gear and door selector valves on Bombardier CL-600 Challenger aircraft.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Bombardier (Canadair) CL-600 series aeroplanes.

What you need to know:

You no longer need to comply with the old directive (AD/CL-600/86).
A new directive (AD/CL-600/111) now covers these safety requirements instead.
This is essentially housekeeping—removing an obsolete rule that has been fully replaced by an updated version.

Why it matters: This ensures the official safety rules stay current. The cancelled directive related to critical components (nose landing gear valves) that control how the aircraft's front wheel extends and retracts, so maintaining the correct safety standards—now under the new directive—is essential for flight safety.
