Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This safety rule applies to owners and operators of specific Bombardier Challenger 600 series jets (model CL-600-1A11, serial numbers 1004–1066, 1068–1071, and 1073–1083).

What you must do:

Inspect the brake control push-pull cable before the aircraft is issued a Certificate of Airworthiness (the official legal approval to fly)
Continue inspecting this cable every 150 landings thereafter, or
Permanently modify the aircraft according to manufacturer Service Bulletin A600-0254 Revision 1, which ends the inspection requirement

Why this matters: Worn or faulty brake control cables could cause brake failure during landing or taxiing, creating serious crash risks. This update allows operators to fix the defect permanently rather than inspecting repeatedly for the life of the aircraft.
