Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires physical inspections of the carburettor airbox alternate-air valve on specified American Champion (Aeronca, Bellanca) models/serials, checking for cracking and secure attachment. The first check is within 100 hours after 31 Oct 1975 and repeats every 100 hours; fitting a Bellanca Service Kit does not remove the inspection obligation. It imposes recurring inspection and repair costs on listed aircraft owners/operators to ensure valve integrity, though it gives no detailed inspection standards.
