Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires operators of General Electric CF700 engines fitted with fuel nozzles P/N 37D401657P104, P107 or P109 to inspect those nozzles at the next hot‑section inspection after 30 Sept 1971 and to apply GE’s modification before reinstalling any nozzle reconditioned after 31 Dec 1971. Work must follow the referenced GE service bulletins (or the alternate AD). It shifts inspection/modification costs and scheduling onto aircraft owners/operators and maintenance providers to address an implied safety concern.
