Plain English Summary

5/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of GE CF6-80E1A2 and -80E1A4 engines with specified left vertical link and pylon bolts to reduce pylon attachment bolt torque to 400–450 lb·ft and replace three left vertical link bolts with a serialized, life-limited part. Operators must meet variant-specific cycle limits or do the bolt replacement at the next shop visit. The CASA delegate issues the directive under CASR subreg 39.1(1); operators pay the maintenance cost and must track cycles and serialized-bolt life.
