Plain English Summary

6/10 complexity

This directive requires operators of GE CF6-80E1 engines (for example on Airbus A330s) to inspect each fan thrust‑reverser half using specified MRAS service‑bulletin procedures, with different checks and repeat intervals depending on whether an improved double P‑seal is fitted. CASA issues and enforces the directive under CASR subreg 39.1(1); operators must carry out inspections before stated flight‑hour thresholds and at recurring intervals, creating scheduled maintenance work and associated costs.
