Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of specified General Electric CF6-45/50/80 series engines to perform an initial and recurring inspection of the high‑pressure compressor 3–9 spool using the procedures and intervals set out in FAA AD 2002-25-08. It harmonises and replaces two earlier Australian ADs and takes effect on 20 March 2003. Operators bear the inspection costs and must schedule compliance to the referenced FAA AD; CASA enforces the requirement under CAR 1998 subreg 39.1(1).
