Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This safety directive requires owners/operators of certain Cessna 550 Citation II jets (specified serial-number ranges) to inspect the tail for interference between the vertical fin and tailcone skin, using the applicable Cessna service bulletins. It included a past compliance date and allowed exemption if an earlier service-letter inspection found no interference. The inspections prevent fin/tailcone structural damage that could compromise flight safety.
