Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Civil Aviation Safety Authority Airworthiness Directive requires owners of Cessna Citation II (Model 550, S/N 0002–0465) to inspect elevator and rudder trim systems for incorrectly installed or torqued trim-tab stop blocks and misinstalled chain guards, following Cessna Service Letter SL 550-27-6.

Inspections must be done within 100 flight hours after 30 November 1983 or at the next scheduled maintenance. The rule addresses a safety risk: faulty trim components can impede control and lead to loss of aircraft control.
