Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD imposes legal retirement limits on landing‑gear components for Cessna 550 (Citation II) aircraft registered in Australia, requiring owners/operators to permanently remove parts once they reach the flight‑hour or landing‑cycle limits in the aircraft’s Maintenance Manual. Where the manual gives different certification authority limits, the FAA (US) life limits apply. It enforces the manufacturer’s replacement schedule to reduce risk of landing‑gear failure.
