Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of certain Cessna Citation business jets (Models 500, 551, S550, 560) equipped with fuel flow transmitter P/N 9912031-6 to perform recurring inspections per Cessna Alert Service Bulletins and ultimately install a manufacturer-specified modification (Ragen Data System QSPI 3-36 Rev C) that terminates the inspections.

Compliance for Australian-registered aircraft must begin by 16 May 1991. It matters because faulty transmitters can give incorrect fuel-flow readings, risking miscalculated fuel reserves and possible engine fuel starvation.
