Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires a daily pre‑flight check of both main landing‑gear torque‑link cotter pins on Cessna S550 aircraft not modified by SB S550‑32‑5. If a pin is broken, missing or shows cutting/shearing by the nut, retorque the nut and install a new cotter pin per Cessna MM 32‑11‑01 before further flight.

Operators pay for inspection and repairs; the pilot‑in‑command may perform and must record the inspection on the Maintenance Release, while corrective work must be done by a licensed person. The SB modification is terminating action for the inspection requirement.
