Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Owners/operators of Cessna Model 500 series (Citation) jets fitted with emergency drag‑chute systems must install a permanent warning on the drag‑chute canister lid reading “DRAG CHUTE CANISTER LID - DO NOT SEAL EDGE” (≥13 mm letters with a red border).

The AD prevents maintenance sealant from accidentally gluing the lid shut and blocking chute deployment; compliance is required before the next maintenance release.
