Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires operators of Cessna 441 aeroplanes (serials 441-001 to 441-0362) with more than 3,000 hours to inspect the horizontal stabiliser forward attach bulkhead for cracks and fretting, and—if a specified service kit is fitted—to inspect and adjust the gap per the kit instructions. It sets firm short-term deadlines (within 200 flight hours or by 30 April 1993) and recurring inspection intervals until the kit is installed, so aircraft owners/operators must pay for inspections, any adjustments and follow mandated maintenance procedures.
