Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD requires inspection of the main landing gear upper strut on Cessna 400 series aeroplanes whose serial numbers are listed in Cessna SL ME71-28. It applies to owners/operators of those aircraft, the maintenance personnel who must carry out the inspection, and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority as regulator.

Why it matters: the inspection (per SL ME71-28) must be completed before a Certificate of Airworthiness can be issued, shifting inspection technicals to the Cessna document and costs/delays to owners/operators.
