What this is

This is an Airworthiness Directive (AD) — a mandatory safety order issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) requiring specific maintenance action on certain aircraft.

Who it affects

Owners and operators of Cessna 337 series aircraft with serial numbers before 337-0073 (early production models).

What you must do

Modify the rudder bar (the foot-operated control that steers the aircraft while on the ground) in accordance with Cessna Service Letter 67-3.

When you must comply

Within 50 hours of flight time after 17 March 1967.

Why this matters

This modification addresses a safety defect in the rudder bar assembly. Failing to make this change could compromise the pilot's ability to steer the aircraft safely on the ground.
