AD/CESSNA 337/17 - Bench Seat Locking Placard - Installation - CANCELLED

What this does: This document cancels a previous safety rule (Airworthiness Directive) that required owners of Cessna 337 series aircraft to install a warning placard on the bench seat about how to lock it properly.

Why it matters: As of 24 September 2009, you no longer need to install this specific placard to obtain or keep your Certificate of Airworthiness (the official document proving your plane is safe to fly). The Civil Aviation Safety Authority decided this unique Australian requirement— which wasn't based on manufacturer instructions—was no longer justified, removing an unnecessary compliance burden.
