Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive applies to all models of Cessna 337 aircraft.

What it requires: Owners must replace the aluminium alloy hydraulic lines for the landing gear that run through the front engine compartment (the area on the engine side of the firewall). You have two options to comply:

Install fire-resistant lines or hose assemblies that meet the technical standard ANO 101.22, paragraph 6.25.1; or
Move the lines to the safe side of the firewall (behind it), away from the engine heat.

Important clarification: The nose wheel well is not considered part of the engine compartment for this rule.

Deadline for compliance: The work must be completed within 200 hours of flight time after 30 June 1972.
