AD/CESSNA 336/6 - Front Seat Restraint Installations - Modification - CANCELLED

What this does: This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule that required shoulder harnesses (upper torso restraints) in the front seats of Cessna 336 aircraft built before 1967.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Cessna 336 series aeroplanes.

Why it matters: The old rule (from 1971) is no longer in force as of 17 January 2008. The requirement for shoulder harnesses has not disappeared—it has been moved to a broader rule (AD/GENERAL/74 Amendment 1) that covers multiple aircraft types rather than targeting just the Cessna 336. This simplifies compliance by consolidating similar safety requirements under one general directive instead of maintaining separate rules for each aircraft model.
