AD/CESSNA 320/20 - Main Landing Gear Aft Trunnion Support Spar - Inspection and Modification - CANCELLED

This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/CESSNA 320/20) that applied to Cessna 320 series aircraft.

What the old rule required: Owners and operators had to inspect the main landing gear support structure (specifically the "aft trunnion support spar") every 100 hours of flight time. This inspection cycle had to continue until a specific service kit (SK 310-91A) was installed on the aircraft.

What this means: As of 24 September 2009, aircraft owners and operators are no longer legally required to perform these specific inspections or install that particular service kit to comply with this directive. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority determined this safety measure was no longer necessary.

Who is affected: Owners and operators of Cessna 320 series aeroplanes who were previously subject to the inspection requirement.
