Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this is: A mandatory safety inspection requirement for specific Cessna 320 aircraft.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Cessna 320 series planes with serial numbers between 320-0001 and 320D0130, unless the aircraft has already been fitted with Cessna Service Kit SK 310-91A.

What you must do:

Inspect the main landing gear aft trunnion support spar (the structural beam that helps hold the main wheels in place) within 100 flight hours after 31 December 1974.
Repeat this inspection every 100 flight hours thereafter.
Continue these inspections until the aircraft is modified (presumably with the service kit mentioned above).

Why it matters: This directive addresses potential structural weakness or cracking in a critical component that supports the aircraft's landing gear. Failure of this part could lead to landing gear collapse.
