Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this means for aircraft operators

This rule requires owners and operators of specific Cessna 310 aircraft to conduct regular safety inspections on the main landing gear door mechanisms.

Who must comply

Owners of Cessna 310, 310B, and 310C models
Only applies to aircraft with serial numbers below 35791
Only applies if the aircraft has not had Cessna Service Kit SK310-28 installed

What you must do Inspect the main gear door mechanism at least every 100 hours of flight time ("time in service"). The exact inspection procedure is found in Cessna Service Letter No. 310-37.

Why this matters Landing gear doors are critical for safe operation. Regular inspections prevent mechanical failures that could affect landing gear deployment or create aerodynamic issues during flight.
