Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this is: A mandatory safety order (called an Airworthiness Directive) issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority under the Civil Aviation Regulations.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Cessna 310 aeroplanes with serial numbers below 35385.

What it requires: You must immediately install a physical 'stop' mechanism on the right front seat back. This prevents the seat from reclining too far backward, which could interfere with flight controls or create a safety hazard.

Why it matters: This is a compulsory safety fix, not optional. You must follow the technical instructions in Cessna Service Letter No. 310-28 No. 4 straight away (the directive says 'forthwith,' which means immediately). You cannot legally fly the aircraft until this modification is complete.
