Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does This Airworthiness Directive (AD) mandates the installation of an air intake heater on specific Cessna 310 series aircraft. The modification must be carried out in accordance with technical instructions in Cessna Service Letter No. 310-24.

Who it affects Owners and operators of:

Cessna Model 310 and 310B aeroplanes
With serial numbers prior to (below) 35635
Excluding serial numbers 35626, 35627, and 35630

What you must do Install the air intake heater as specified in the referenced service letter immediately. "Forthwith" means without delay.

Why it matters Airworthiness Directives are legally enforceable safety instructions issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. They address identified unsafe conditions in aircraft. Operating an aircraft without complying with an AD is illegal and poses safety risks (in this case, likely related to preventing ice formation in the engine intake system).
