Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule (Airworthiness Directive 41) that applied to Cessna 310 series aircraft.

What it does:

Revokes the requirement for owners to install an exhaust tailpipe support kit on affected Cessna 310 aeroplanes
Takes effect on 24 September 2009

Background: The original directive required installation of a specific support kit (per Cessna Service Letter ME75-17) on aircraft manufactured before January 1976. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority has determined this safety requirement is no longer necessary.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Cessna 310 series aircraft who were previously required to comply with the installation mandate.
