Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

Owners/operators of Cessna 310–310K aircraft must jack the airplane, remove the main landing‑gear U‑bolts and attaching shafts and inspect the thread‑root and roll‑pin areas with a 10× magnifier for cracks at prescribed time‑in‑service intervals (initial triggers then every 200 hours). Maintenance staff perform the removals and inspections; operators bear the downtime, labour and replacement costs. The measure aims to detect attachment‑component cracks before failure, trading recurring inspection burden and potential parts replacement for reduced operational risk.
