Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This is an Airworthiness Directive (a mandatory safety order) for aircraft owners and operators.

What it does:

Applies to: Cessna 310L and 310N model aeroplanes
The safety issue: The fuel line (part number 0800400-63) may be positioned too close to the vapour return line (part number 0800400-5) inside the wing's leading edge. This could cause the lines to rub against each other (chafe), potentially causing fuel leaks or fire hazards.
Required action: Inspect the fuel line and, if necessary, re-route and clamp it to ensure adequate clearance from the vapour return line.
Deadline: Must be completed within 100 hours of flight time after 29 May 1970.

Why it matters: This prevents dangerous fuel leaks that could lead to engine failure or fire in flight.
