Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This is a mandatory safety order (called an Airworthiness Directive) for owners of specific Cessna 310 twin-engine aircraft.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Cessna 310J aircraft (serial numbers 310J-0001 through 310J-0200) and Cessna 310K aircraft (serial number 310K-0209), excluding three specific aircraft (serial numbers 310K-0185, 310K-0189, and 310K-0207).

What you must do: Relocate the fuel pressure switch on your aircraft according to the technical instructions in Cessna Service Letter No. 66-20 and its supplement. This modification fixes a safety defect in the switch's original installed position.

When: Immediately (the directive uses the term "forthwith," meaning no delay is permitted).

Why it matters: The original location of the fuel pressure switch created a safety risk that could affect fuel delivery and engine operation. This order ensures the aircraft meets current safety standards.
