Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Cessna T303 aeroplanes (serials T30300001–T30300315) fitted with wing leading-edge de-ice boots and propeller de-icing to display a cockpit placard prohibiting flight into known icing and to insert FAA AD 85-11-05 into the Pilot’s Operating Handbook. Those restrictions remain until the Rudder Balance Weight Modification Kit (Part SK303-34) is installed, after which the placard and FAA AD copy are removed.

The AD is issued to address rudder flutter caused by ice on the fin; it creates short-term operational limits and a mandatory modification and documentation compliance obligation for affected operators.
