Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive mandates a safety modification for Cessna 210 aircraft fitted with specific main wheel assemblies.

What it requires: Owners and operators must modify the main landing gear wheel assemblies (specifically McCauley D-30063 models) according to the manufacturer's technical bulletin Cessna Service Letter SE74-8 (dated 17 May 1974 or later versions).

Who it affects: Anyone responsible for Cessna 210 series aircraft equipped with these specific wheel assemblies.

Compliance deadline: For 1974 model aircraft, the work must be completed within 25 hours of flight time after 31 July 1974.

Why it matters: This ensures the main wheels won't fail during takeoff, landing, or ground operations, preventing potential accidents caused by landing gear collapse.
