AD/CESSNA 207/11 - Rudder Trim Chain - CANCELLED

This instrument cancels an outdated aircraft safety rule that applied to Cessna 207 aeroplanes.

What the old rule required: The original directive (from 1976) mandated a one-time inspection of the rudder trim chain — the mechanism that helps keep the plane flying straight — specifically to check that a "master link" connector was secure and wouldn't fail during flight.

Why it is being cancelled: Because this was a single inspection with a compliance deadline based on flight hours accumulated shortly after 1976, every affected aircraft completed it decades ago. The rule is now obsolete, so the Civil Aviation Safety Authority is formally removing it from the regulations. This relieves aircraft operators of any lingering paperwork obligation for this specific check.
