This AD requires owners/operators of specified Cessna 206 serial numbers to fit a safety wire to the fuel-selector roll pin per Cessna Service Information Letter SE84-5, to be done by the next Maintenance Release after 31 May 1985. It aims to prevent roll‑pin migration and consequent loss of fuel-selector control, imposing a narrow, time‑bound maintenance obligation and associated labour/material costs.

Applicability: Model 206 with S/Nos. 206-0001 to U20606827 and P206-0001 to P20600647. Requirement: Action in accordance with Cessna SIL SE84-5.

Note: FAA AD 85-02-07 refers.

Compliance: Prior to issue of the next Maintenance Release after 31 May 1985.

Background: Loss of fuel selector control, followed by engine fuel starvation can occur should the roll pin connecting the fuel selector rotor shaft to the yoke assembly migrate out of its location.
