Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This is a safety mandate for operators of specific Cessna 206 planes that have undergone a turbine engine conversion. If your aircraft runs a Soloy Turbine Pac engine (converted under STCs SE2352NM or SA2353NM), you must inspect the engine isolator mounts for hairline cracks and tears.

What you need to do:

Inspect: Check isolator mounts (part no. 700-2500-1) following Soloy's Service Bulletin 01-763
First check: Within 100 flight hours after 28 February 1985, or at your next scheduled maintenance check—whichever comes later
Ongoing: Repeat every 100 flight hours or at each scheduled maintenance check until you replace the parts per the manufacturer's instructions

Why it matters: These mounts can develop tiny cracks that are easy to miss. If they fail, the engine could literally separate from the airframe. This directive keeps your engine attached to your plane where it belongs.
